Lily, The Felon's Daughter The sad tale of Lily Fairweather, as pure as the driven snow; of Compton, her weak but handsome sweetheart; and how Craven Sinclair - that sneering, leering villain - thwarted their plans for everlasting bliss. Compton, dearer than life to his indulgent mother, has become putty in the hands of the poisonous Craven Sinclair. Tempted to forgery and embezzlement, he succumbs. Fleeing arrest on the night of his betrothal to Lily, our hero heads West, where men are men, leaving his father (who is as honest as the day is long) to go to jail for his crimes. But that isn't all, far from all, for on that same fatal night Lily's father hitherto thought to be dead, returns from Penn State, , uhh, pardon us, , , State Pen to claim his long lost daughter. Adding to the merriment are Miss Ophelia, a horse faced suffragette, and her suitor, Lord Montmorency Montmorent who is so English it hurts, , ,the funny bone.
